Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts Underway in North Carolina’s High Country

Written by Rob Stott

October 4, 2024

From the Florida panhandle up through the High Country region of North Carolina, the heavy rains and wind from Hurricane Helene left an immeasurable amount of damage and devastation in its path. Nationwide Marketing Group has heard from many members and vendor partners throughout the country who are in search of ways to give back to the communities impacted by the storm, and we’re here to provide at least one path of participation.

Despite losing a store in the storm, NMG Member Queen City Audio Video & Appliances, owned and operated by the Player family and based out of Charlotte, has stepped up and partnered with No Child Hungry in an effort to respond in a major way for families suffering in the area.

Queen City and No Child Hungry are planning to pack 500,000 meals and 10,000 hygiene kits that will be immediately distributed to points of need in Burke, Watauga, Avery and McDowell counties. Queen City launched the effort with financial support and will provide the warehouse to help host the event. But much more support will be needed to help achieve this incredible give back goal.

How Can You Help?

Whether you are local to the area or simply want to find a way to help make an impact on this effort, there are two ways you can get involved.
