Spring is synonymous with new life and growth. It’s perfect, then, that the first-ever Oasys Summit, to be held May 15-17 in Nashville, is set to take place at the height of this season. First unveiled at Nationwide Marketing Group’s PrimeTime show in March, Oasys Residential Technology Group, formerly Home Technology Specialists Nationwide, will have plenty of new things to talk about as members gather in the Music City: new vendor partners, a new website and a new strategy to help custom integrators of all shapes and sizes grow their business.

“We were thrilled to get the Oasys name out there during PrimeTime, but I think we all realized and understood that that was just the starting point for our group,” says Hank Alexander, director of Oasys. “It’s been an incredibly busy few weeks since PrimeTime and leading up to this first-ever Oasys Summit. But we’re excited to get everyone together in person and set the stage for what’s to come.”

The Oasys Summit will feature several unique opportunities for members of the group to engage with each other and vendor attendees over the two and a half days together in Nashville. The Summit’s education track, highlighted by an opening keynote featuring renowned industry expert Jason Sayen, will feature training and industry-specific classes lead by a number of different business leaders and vendor partners. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a special giveback event on the opening evening and a downtown scavenger hunt networking event on night two.

“The Oasys Summit provides our members and vendors a unique opportunity to engage with one another,” says Andy Orozco, senior vice president of custom integration for Nationwide Marketing Group. “From the one-one-one meetings and education classes to the various networking events that are planned, we’re excited to get together for this first-ever Oasys Summit and build off of it in the future.”

Ahead of the Summit, Oasys recently launched a brand-new website. The new digital home for the group — www.oasysgroup.org — offers prospective dealers a broad overview of what makes Oasys the perfect home for all integrators. Beyond displaying the benefits of an Oasys membership, the site will also feature the latest news from the group as well as updates on upcoming events, like the Oasys Summit, and easy one-click access to the Oasys Learning Academy for current members.

For more information on Oasys, custom integrators are invited to visit the new website where they can get in contact with the group.

It can be difficult to truly understand what it means to run an independent retail business unless you’ve actually been in the trenches and done the dirty work.
