Our KBIS 2024 Recap

Written by Amy Croom

March 5, 2024

Nationwide Marketing Group was among the 117,000 that descended upon the Las Vegas Convention Center recently for Design & Construction Week, which included the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS). While there, we had the opportunity to roam the massive expo halls with a few of our appliance Members who were there with us and meet with many of our key Vendor Partners.

The show was filled with myriad new product introductions and exciting updates from every corner of the kitchen and bath industry. We did our best to cover as much of the floor as possible, and below you’ll find a consolidated collection of our KBIS posts.

Monogram Appliances

In addition to showcasing a truly inspiring series of art installations that featured their product, Monogram (and GE Appliances as a whole) made a big splash at KBIS with the introduction of their EcoBalance System. The new system, built in partnership with Savant, will allow consumers to take full control of their smart home experience and energy management journey. The EcoBalance lineup includes a number of Monogram appliances.

Signature Kitchen Suite

Always ripe with innovation, SKS – LG Appliances’ luxury arm – introduced a new “transitional collection” at KBIS 2024, which it said bridges the gap between contemporary and traditional kitchens by offering a brushed stainless steel finish and straight, sleek stainless steel handles. Not to be overlooked are the tech-forward features like the built-in camera that uses AI to identify foods based on shape and color, which it can then use to recommend certain recipes.

Dacor

It’s not just the TVs in our homes that are getting bigger and creating showstopping experiences. Dacor proved that at KBIS, where our Members were among the first to lay eyes on the brand’s new 48-inch French door refrigerator, which is already receiving recognition from top publications across the appliance industry. Featuring a completely stainless steel interior, the fridge has a sensor-activated auto-filling water pitcher and dual icemaker that can craft standard ice cubes or slow-melting whiskey balls.

SMEG USA

KBIS was the first chance for Members to get up close with one of our newest appliance Vendor Partners, SMEG USA. There, the brand showed off its growing line of major luxury appliances in addition to the retro product that the Italian manufacturer made its name building. SMEG, which started as a porcelain manufacturer, now builds its own ranges, dishwashers and hoods. They told us they expect to begin making their own refrigeration product within the next two years.

Middleby Residential

With a portfolio that features nearly two-dozen brands in the luxury appliance and outdoor appliance markets, it’s hard for Middleby Residential to not have one of the most prominent displays at a show like KBIS. What stood out among the various vignettes was the pop of color. From Lynx Grills to Viking, there were some adventurous colorways that couldn’t help but draw your eyes in.

ZLINE Kitchen and Bath

As the fastest-growing emerging appliance brand in NMG, there was a lot to be excited about in the ZLINE Kitchen space at KBIS. In particular, the brand showed off a stunning new Autograph Edition collection, which comes in four stainless steel options – traditional, black, white matte and fingerprint resistant – and three finishes – gold, matte black and champagne bronze.

Whirlpool & JennAir

As expected, the incredibly innovative SlimTech insulation technology continued to dominate the conversationin and around the JennAir and Whirlpool space at KBIS. Among the Best of KBIS award honorees, SlimTech insulation is reported to reduce refrigerator wall thickness by up to 60 percent while increasing internal capacity by 25 percent and increasing energy efficiency by up to 50 percent.
